Every day, we are surrounded by people carrying burdens they were never meant to carry alone—burdens of trauma, addiction, poverty, disability, broken relationships, and deep personal struggles. This is real life stuff, and it doesn’t have to be a part of a business or organization to experience it. These are struggles faced by our friends and family and strangers that we meet every single day.

For some, the weight of life becomes so heavy that without the help of others, they simply cannot stand.

The Way Maker Place was born out of the belief that no one should have to carry those burdens alone.

Located in Springfield, Tennessee, The Way Maker Place exists to To provide support, structure, care and fellowship to individuals who often feel isolated; to provide hope and to help each individual reach their highest level of independence and inspire them to reach attainable goals; to provide assurance to families that the ones entrusted to our care are thriving while living at Way Maker Place.

This ministry is a living expression of Galatians 6:2—a calling to bear one another’s burdens in practical, sacrificial, and Christ-centered ways. And in doing so, we fulfill the law of Christ—the law of love.

We want to do some distinct things to accomplish this purpose.

• To learn about each person’s unique gifts as they grow and to prepare them for opportunities which match their gifts and skill level
• To develop a relationship with local employers, volunteer organizations and surrounding community to help our residents participate in the workforce, activities and lives of those around them
• To discover and develop relationships with key partners, donors, and friends to ensure that Way Maker Place will be a welcoming facility that can provide grace, care, stability, and safety for the individual and their family for many years to come; and most important of all
• To provide a place of hope in Christ Jesus

But we can’t do it alone.

The calling to carry each other’s burdens is not just for a few—it’s for all who follow Jesus. Whether you serve with your time, give from your heart, pray for our mission, or contribute financially, your support helps carry the weight of real lives and real souls in need of hope.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for carrying our burdens and giving us the strength to carry the burdens of others. Open my heart to serve with compassion and love. Bless the men at The Way Maker Place. Strengthen those who lead, support, and give to this ministry. Show me how I can be part of the work You are doing here. Amen.
