It was a special day on Father’s Day this Sunday as Matthew from The Way Maker Place got to spend time with his family, and will be spending the week with them in Franklin, Tennessee.
“Matthew had an accident and he is disabled, and from the first day we walked in here, they have taken care of him and treated him as their own child,” Matthew’s father Curtis said. “I cannot thank you all enough for what you all do for us.
“Way Maker has just been a God send for us. They have been such a wonderful place. Chris and Sue are just earth angels for us, the way we see it. As Debbie and I get older, it was more of a challenge to think of how he would be taken care of for years to come and this has been wonderful for us.”
Matthew’s family connected to The Way Maker Place through a friend near Nashville, and made the trip from Little Rock, Arkansas. Matthew has now been a resident of The Way Maker Place for approximately a year. The original connection was made through people, churches, friendship and social media.
“It was right at a time where we were looking for facilities where he could go and stay, and it came at the right time,” Curtis said. “My daughter connected to a gentleman through our church who had done some yard work for you, and that’s how it happened.”
Matthew will spend a vacation week with his family and enjoy Franklin before coming back to The Way Maker Place.
